Commodity Manager

Working within the Safran UK Purchasing team, the Commodity Manager will lead and facilitate the purchases of one (or more) commodities. The role requires strategic thinking and relationship-building with senior stakeholders (internal & external) to establish sustainable, commercially viable partnerships for your commodities.

This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, make a tangible impact, and develop your skills within a global aerospace company. Safran UK, based in Gloucester, operates the UK Shared Service Centre, focusing on service delivery across various departments including Transactional Finance, Indirect Procurement, HR, and Tax & International Mobility.

Job Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Knowledge of purchasing methodologies and processes
• Proven experience in indirect purchasing
• Understanding of industrial and legal policies related to purchasing (contracts)
• Experience with purchasing information systems
• CIPS qualifications at Level 4+ or equivalent professional experience
