Job summary

Naomi House & Jacksplace is seeking a Commissioning Partnerships Manager to lead relationships with health and social care commissioners, NHS bodies and Local Authorities, ensuring sustainable funding for our services. The role is a fixed-term, part-time appointment in Sutton Scotney.

You will develop strategic funding opportunities, influence commissioning priorities and work with senior leaders to drive service development and population health outcomes for babies, children and families.

Qualifications

  • Degree level or equivalent with evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience across health, education or social care sectors.
  • Proven track record in multi-agency partnership working.
  • Understanding of NHS commissioning and contracting processes.
  • Knowledge of national NHS priorities related to children's care.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and senior stakeholder credibility.
  • Ability to analyse data and produce evidence-based reports.
  • Strong project management and timely delivery within budget.
  • Clear communication translating hospice needs to commissioners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead relationships with commissioners, ICBs, ICT and Local Authorities.
  • Engage proactively with commissioning partners to raise awareness of relevant guidance.
  • Identify and secure new statutory funding opportunities.
  • Develop compelling business cases, bids and service specifications.
  • Monitor commissioning priorities and influence service provision.
  • Support service innovation and organisational growth.
  • Represent Naomi House & Jacksplace in strategic forums and networks.
  • Collaborate with clinical, finance, fundraising and leadership teams.

As we continue to develop our services and strengthen our position within the health and social care system, we are seeking an experienced and ambitious Commissioning Partnerships Manager to join our leadership team.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a strategic and influential professional to play a pivotal role in ensuring that our services are sustainably funded and we are viewed as a key partner in delivering statutory responsibilities, system sustainability and value based population health outcomes for babies, children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

This newly developed role sits at the heart of our strategic ambitions.

As our Commissioning Partnerships Manager, you will lead the development and management of key relationships across the health and social care landscape, positioning Naomi and Jack's as an integral contributor to local and national care priorities.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with commissioners, ICB's, ICT and Local Authorities.
  • Lead proactive engagement with statutory commissioning partners to raise awareness of children and young adult hospice services legislation and guidance.
  • Identify and secure new statutory funding opportunities
  • Develop compelling business cases, bids and service specifications
  • Monitor commissioning priorities and influence future service provision
  • Support service innovation and organisational growth
  • Represent Naomi and Jack's in strategic forums and national networks
  • Work collaboratively with clinical, finance, fundraising and leadership teams to maximise impact and sustainability.
Qualification, Skills and Experience:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with evidence of continuing professional development
  • Significant experience within health, education and or social care sectors
  • Proven track record of partnership working across complex, multi-agency environments
  • A deep understanding of commissioning arrangements, including the procurement and contracting processes used by the NHS
  • Specialist knowledge of current national priorities for the NHS and how they relate to children's palliative care
  • Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility with senior commissioners, clinicians and stakeholder
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex data and policy to create clear, evidence-based reports and business cases.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan and deliver service improvements within budget and on time
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between hospice specific needs and commissioner led processes.
