Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Commissioning Officer (Adults) to support adult social care commissioning across Hackney. Hybrid working in London is available with a pay rate of £38.77 per hour.

You will work with the Strategic Commissioner and stakeholders to shape and improve services that meet the needs of adults in the borough, ensuring value for Hackney residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning, contract management, project management or service development within adult social care or a related public service environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and produce high-quality reports.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of contracts and projects, monitoring financial performance, service quality, risks and outcomes.
• Support the development and implementation of commissioning strategies, service specifications, performance indicators and business cases.
• Lead and contribute to service reviews, options appraisals, research, benchmarking and market analysis.
• Develop and maintain relationships with providers, service users, carers, health, housing and social care partners.
• Lead projects and initiatives across housing, homelessness services, residential care, day services, advocacy and prevention.
• Engage with service users and communities to inform service planning and commissioning decisions.
• Support provider market development, identify gaps in service provision and promote innovative approaches to meeting local needs.
• Ensure effective financial management, contract monitoring, performance reporting and implementation of improvement plans.
• Contribute to strategic planning, investment and savings programmes to deliver best value.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Commissioning Officer (Adults) to support the delivery of Adult Social Care, mental health, prevention and wellbeing commissioning strategies across Hackney. Working alongside the Strategic Commissioner and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, you will help shape, develop and improve services that meet the needs of adults in the borough.

Key Responsibilities
