Job summary

North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board seeks a dedicated Commissioning Manager to support the Neighbourhood North team across Northumberland, North Tyneside and North Cumbria. You will help drive commissioning, work with multi-professional colleagues, and travel across our area to ensure services are effectively contracted and evaluated.

The role requires senior commissioning experience, CPD, and proven NHS contract management capabilities within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Degree level education or equivalent senior level commissioning experience.
• Evidence of CPD and ongoing professional development.
• Experience managing NHS contracts with a range of providers.
• Knowledge of project management principles, techniques and tools.

Responsibilities

• Support senior members of the team in delivering the range of ICB commissioned services and contracts.
• Work with colleagues across the ICB to feed local intelligence into contracting cycles.
• Maintain contract documentation, communication tools and plans for timely use.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commissioning Manager to join our Neighbourhood North team. At North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board, we are committed to providing high-quality care and support to our community. The role covers the Northumberland, North Tyneside and North Cumbria areas, therefore you will be expected to travel around these areas., The postholder will support the ICB's Commissioning group, working in the Neighbourhood North team. The postholder will work as part of a multi-professional team to drive forward the vision of the ICB through the three identified groups, working closely with Nursing, Medical and Finance colleagues to support teams to work collaboratively and effectively towards shared goals. The role will be critical in ensuring that the ICB effectively commissions and contracts all services it is responsible for, ensuring ongoing service evaluation and re-design as appropriate in line with the critical functions of an Integrated Care Board., What you will do: To support senior members of the team in the delivery of the range of ICB commissioned services and contracts Work with colleagues across the ICB, to ensure local intelligence and sight is fed into the contracting cycle to ensure strategies, plans and performance are coherent and deliver commissioning intentions Maintain contract documentation, communication tools and associated plans ensuring they are available and used to their maximum value in a timely manner

• Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in commissioning
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD), Evidence continuing professional development.
• Managing NHS contracts with a range of providers
• Experience of project principles techniques and tools.
  
  Our Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the largest in the country.
The ICB is responsible for ensuring that high quality and safe health services are accessible to all of our communities. It has a wide range of functions, including; promoting integration of health and care services, improving peoples health and well-being, reducing health inequalities. With a £6.6 billion budget and a workforce of 170,000 people across the North East and North Cumbria. As well as strategic functions, ICB staff also work at place level with local health and wellbeing boards in each of our 14 local authority areas. These teams also work alongside our 67 primary care networks which are groups of local GP practices, social care teams and other community- based area providers.
