Commissioning Manager

Knightsbridge, London £90,000 Immediate Start

12 Recruitment are working with a leading Main Contractor seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager for an ultra-luxury residential development in Knightsbridge.

The project is approaching its final stages, with the successful candidate taking responsibility for driving commissioning through to completion and handover.

Following this project, there is an opportunity to move onto a further ultra-luxury residential development in Belgravia.

The role also provides an excellent opportunity to lead, mentor and train a commissioning team, helping develop less experienced members of the team and establish best practice.

The Role

• Manage the commissioning process from installation through to final handover.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical and associated building services commissioning.
• Manage commissioning specialists, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
• Develop and monitor commissioning programmes and trackers.
• Ensure systems are tested and commissioned to project requirements.
• Coordinate testing, balancing and integrated systems testing.
• Identify commissioning issues and drive them through to resolution.
• Work closely with construction and technical services teams.
• Coordinate with consultants, client representatives and specialist contractors.
• Review commissioning documentation, test results and certification.
• Support O&M information and handover documentation.
• Attend commissioning meetings and provide progress updates.
• Support final completion, snagging and handover activities.
• Lead and develop members of the commissioning team.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Deliver training and share commissioning knowledge across the team.
• Establish and promote effective commissioning procedures and best practice.
• Maintain strong communication across the project team.
• Previous Main Contractor or MEP Contractor experience is required.
• Experience on high-end residential, luxury residential, hospitality or similarly high-specification projects is advantageous.

About You

The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction commissioning, with the technical knowledge and project experience to take ownership of the commissioning process.

You will be comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders and specialist contractors, resolving technical issues and driving activities towards completion.

Importantly, this role would suit someone who wants to develop beyond individual project delivery and take responsibility for leading and developing others.
