Job summary

St Helens Borough Council is seeking a Commissioning Officer for the Integrated Commissioning Team. You will ensure evidence-based, cost-effective commissioning and lead cross-agency partnerships across adults, children, and public health.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience commissioning services for adults, with all-age portfolio preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and written communication skills.
• Ability to build partnerships across the NHS, housing and voluntary sector.

Responsibilities

• Commission and procure services in line with priorities and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage a diverse portfolio with deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Collaborate with the NHS, housing and voluntary sector to deliver integrated care.
• Lead the All-Age Commissioning Hub and work across departments to improve lives.
