Job summary

Sustainable Talent LTD seeks an experienced Lead Commissioning Engineer to own MV and LV commissioning activities on site in North Wales. The role involves energisation, testing, and close collaboration with the client, project team, and stakeholders throughout energisation and testing phases.

Key responsibilities include MV switchgear energisation, protection and control relay commissioning, and hands-on leadership to ensure successful commissioning across the project.

Job description

I'm currently supporting a major power infrastructure project in North Wales and am looking to speak with experienced Lead Commissioning Engineers who can take ownership of both MV & LV commissioning activities on site.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who can lead the commissioning scope while working closely with the client, project team, and key stakeholders throughout the energisation and testing phases.

• MV switchgear energisation and commissioning
• Protection & control relay commissioning and testing
• Experience using industry-standard relay testing equipment
• Electrical and mechanical interlocking verification
• Post‑energisation testing, measurements, and system validation
• Fault finding and functional testing
• Ability to lead commissioning activities whilst remaining technically hands‑on
