Job description

Our client is a well‑established water company who provide a range of water treatment and HVAC services to clients across the UK. They are now looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and committed Commissioning Engineer based in and around the Walsall area. The successful candidate will have experience carrying out commissioning duties such as validating and balancing air and water systems on a variety of contract types. Applications from Cannock, Lichfield, Wolverhampton, Dudley and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in inspecting and balancing air and water systems
  • Experience carrying out validations on air and water systems
  • Previous experience working on critical ventilation systems is essential
  • Proven ability to analyse schematic drawings and survey reports in order to commission system correctly
  • Good water treatment, chemical, technical and maintenance background
  • Fully conversant in relevant health and safety and compliance legislation specifically HTM‑0301 guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competent in using the Microsoft Office package
  • Good working knowledge of the water industry
  • Experience working in a water treatment commissioning role within the water treatment industry
Duties within the Role
  • Carrying out commissioning duties on air and water systems, including balancing, inspection and validations
  • Calibrating equipment to accurately balance water systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company standards
  • Carry out service work strictly in-keeping with client’s specifications
  • Involvement in staff training as required
  • Inspecting project installs when required
  • Produce reports and prepare quotations
  • Undertaking some water treatment duties to suit business needs
  • Maintaining a professional working relationship with the company’s clients
