Job summary

Progressive Global Energy seeks an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support testing, commissioning, and handover of Integrated Security Systems across National Grid projects, including HVDC converter stations.

The role focuses on commissioning complex electronic security systems in live environments, collaborating with contractors, technology providers, and National Grid stakeholders for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning Integrated Security Systems in critical infrastructure.
• Experience with FAT/SAT and handover documentation.

Responsibilities

• Commission and test Integrated Security Systems in critical infrastructure environments.
• Complete FAT, SAT, and system handovers.
• Configure, test, fault-find, and validate security platforms.
• Support commissioning across CCTV, access control, intercom, perimeter detection, and network infrastructure.
• Identify and resolve integration, software, and hardware issues.
• Produce commissioning documentation and handover packs.
• Work with project managers, installation teams, and client representatives.
• Ensure compliance with National Grid procedures, safety standards, and project specs.
• Support warranty investigations and defect resolution as required.
