Role Overview: Commissioning Engineer
Joining their tight-knit commissioning team, my client is looking for a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to assist with delivering commissioning requirements for their increasing customer base & project workload. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and have a desire to assist with growing the business.
Key Responsibilities:
· Responsible for testing, verifying, and commissioning newly installed or upgraded electrical power systems.
· Conduct pre-energisation checks & relay testing on electrical power systems.
· Responsible for the commissioning of LV & HV electrical systems, including substations, switchgears, transformers, BESS.
· Responsible for travel across the UK and occasionally Europe to carry out commissioning duties, with an expectation to be away from home 65% of each working week.
· Most projects are currently up to 33KV, and there will be a long-term goal to carry out commissioning duties on projects up to 132KV.
· Work as part of a team & build strong relationships with customers.
Requirements:
· At least 4 years' experience in a similar electrically biassed commissioning role.
· HNC/HND qualified in electrical engineering, installations, commissioning or a similar discipline.
· Experience with the commissioning of 33KV electrical power systems, with 132KV being preferred.
· Happy with travel across the UK & overseas as required.
