Job summary

Swegon UK&I is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for its Service Projects and Commissioning Team in London and surrounding areas. You will oversee installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC systems, coordinating with project managers and clients to ensure smooth operation and integration across sites.

Travel across London and nearby regions is required, with hands-on troubleshooting, documentation and ongoing support to drive system performance and handover success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and commissioning of HVAC systems to project specs.
• Execute on-site commissioning plans for chillers and air handling units.

• Provide technical resolutions to the project team and management.
• Troubleshoot complex commissioning issues and document solutions.
• Prepare commissioning reports, logs, and handover documentation.
• Carry out maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment as needed.

Position Summary

We have great a opportunity for a Commissioning Engineer to join us within Swegon's Service Projects and Commissioning Team, reporting into the ACH Supervisor/Head of projects & Commissioning. This role will cover London and the surrounding areas, candidates would therefore need to be based in or around this area or be willing to travel to these locations each day, as required by the business.

The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for ensuring that systems HVAC Systems and equipment are installed, tested, and commissioned to meet design specifications and performance standards. This role involves close collaboration with project managers and clients to ensure smooth operation and integration of technical systems. You will be working across a range of sites integrating and commissioning Swegon HVAC systems, troubleshooting issues and working closely with the product management and factory support

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversee & participate in the installation & commissioning of bespoke products and systems to project specification & industry standards
• Execute installation & commissioning plan on site for a range of HVAC equipment including chillers heat pumps and air handling units
• Communicating technical information and site requirements back to the Service office
• Training & support - provide up skilling and training to the engineering team on commissioning and installation works as well as end users on functionality & maintenance procedures. Offer ongoing support as required
• Provide and channel technical information and resolutions to the Project Team and Senior Management
• Troubleshooting of complex commissioning jobs – Identify, diagnose and resolve technical issues and discrepancies during the commissioning phase. Provide solutions to ensure system reliability and performance
• Documentation & reporting – Prepare detailed commissioning reports, including test results, issue logs and final acceptance documents. Maintain accurate and up to date records of our commissioning activities and site visits.
• Carrying out maintenance and repair where required to a wide range of HVAC equipment

Completion Of Relevant Company Electronic Paperwork As Required

Awareness and appreciation of Health and Safety requirements and completion of Dynamic Risk Assessments

Identifying and promoting wider Group sales opportunities

Compliance with company policies, procedures and processes to ensure that regulations are complied with for our ongoing accreditation to REFCOM, Safe Contractor and CHAS

Quality Assurance – Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to quality standards, safety regulations & projects specifications, implementing corrective actions as necessary as well as keep senior management updated

Essential Experience

• High level knowledge of HVAC products, in particular chillers and heat pumps as well as industry practices
• High level of attention to detail & accuracy in all aspects of work
• Understand the full installation and paperwork requirements to achieve commissioning and successful handover of system’s.
• Dealing with customers and the ability to communicate technical information and site requirements back to the project management team.
• Awareness and appreciation of Health and Safety requirements to industry standards.
• Understanding the importance of working in line with risk assessments and method statements
• Providing an appropriate audit trail of documentation relating to servicing of customer sites
