Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for automation, robotics, and solving complex problems out in the field?

We’re supporting a leading industrial automation specialist in their search for a Field Commissioning Engineer to join their expanding Service & Support team. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same—you’ll be diagnosing, commissioning, and supporting cutting-edge robotic systems for clients across the UK and beyond.

What you’ll be doing:

• Commission bespoke robotic & automation systems on-site
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, PLC, and software faults
• Perform upgrades, modifications, and emergency support
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams
• Deliver exceptional customer service and system performance

What we’re looking for:

• Strong diagnostics background (electrical + PLC)
• Familiarity with fieldbus protocols (EtherCAT, ProfiNET, etc.)
• Happy to travel frequently across the UK and abroad
• Full UK driving licence & DBS eligibility

Bonus if you have:

• HNC or apprenticeship in electrical engineering
• Experience with industrial safety systems
• End-to-end commissioning/project exposure
