Commissioning Engineer at Waukesha Bearings

Join Waukesha Bearings as a Commissioning Engineer and be part of a specialist team responsible for the commissioning of new active magnetic bearings installations and servicing existing ones worldwide. You will also support production testing at our laboratory in Worthing, West Sussex.

For over three decades, Waukesha Magnetic Bearings has advanced rotating equipment performance with magnetic bearing technology, leading in custom-engineered active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems for large turbomachinery and high-performing rotating equipment, including turbo expanders, natural gas compressors, and electrical motors up to 23MW.

What You Will Bring

• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar
• At least five years of experience in commissioning automation systems
• Knowledge of European safety standards is a plus

What You Will Do

• Commission systems worldwide, including subsystems before site installation
• Service systems globally and respond to service call-outs
• Complete system integration and testing following company procedures
• Provide documentation for testing installations and cabinets
• Assist with cabinet testing and ensure delivery meets all requirements
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards per country
• Achieve commissioning targets and present professional, technical support to customers
• Support business objectives and potentially handle some commercial activities
• Travel up to 50%, including international travel
