Job summary

Envirogen is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to drive projects from installation through handover, ensuring tests pass and systems operate as designed. You will lead commissioning across water and process treatment initiatives, coordinating with Project Managers, engineers, and contractors, while maintaining safety and compliance.

You will evaluate P&IDs and drawings, perform functional tests, and support handover with complete documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning mechanical, electrical, control or process systems.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on-site with contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities across water and process treatment projects.
• Carry out pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, system start-up, optimisation and performance validation.
• Work with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and clients to ensure smooth delivery.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during testing and start-up.
• Manage commissioning documentation, test records and handover packs.
• Act as the main client contact during commissioning, building relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in line with quality, environmental and compliance standards.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a key role in taking projects from installation through to successful handover, ensuring systems are tested, validated and operating exactly as designed.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For
