Job summary

Sodexo Live! is hiring for a casual Commis Chef / Kitchen Assistant at the United Airlines Lounge, Terminal 2. The role offers £14.06 per hour, with a 4 on 2 off pattern; lounge hours are 4am–10pm and shifts vary with business needs.

The position may become permanent after probation and airside pass is obtained. Responsibilities include food preparation, presentation, and service under the kitchen management, attending training, and maintaining high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as commis chef or kitchen assistant in a busy and fast paced environment.
• Calm and patient under pressure.
• Flexible and able to work the shifts mentioned.
• Able to work within a very busy lounge and stressful environment.
• Passion for food.
• Demonstrative customer focus and service skills.

Responsibilities

• To ensure correct preparation, cooking, presentation & service of food as implemented by kitchen management.
• Attend all training sessions and participate in ongoing training.
• Take responsibility for career path and self-improvement.
• Maintain hygiene and presentation standards and be correctly dressed in clean uniform.
