Job summary

Bartlett Mitchell Ltd is hiring an experienced Commis Chef to join our contract catering team in Gateshead. You will assist with prep and production under the Head Chef, help deliver well-balanced menus, and learn in a supportive, hands-on environment.

With a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and City & Guilds/NVQ in kitchen, you will help keep the kitchen and storeroom clean, communicate clearly with the team, and seize opportunities to grow your culinary skills and career.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and production under supervision.
• Follow the Chef's instructions and maintain cleanliness.
