Job summary

Metropolitan Gaming in Manchester is seeking a Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen team. You will be responsible for supporting senior kitchen staff, preparing mise en place, and delivering high standards of food safety and hygiene.

You will work a variable schedule including nights and weekends, with opportunities to grow your culinary skills and contribute to a dynamic, guest-focused dining experience.

Qualifications

• Pro-active attitude with ability to work unsupervised.
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen.
• High flexibility with hours and shifts.
• Qualification in Food Safety.
• Knowledge of Club & Company Health & Safety and Hygiene procedures.
• Good communication with peers and departments.

Responsibilities

• Report for duty in clean chef uniform and on time.
• Prepare and produce food to high standards as directed.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
• Maintain proper stock rotation and storage of food.
• Keep workstation tidy and compliant with hygiene rules.
• Cover additional positions as required by senior staff.
• Ensure confidentiality of company information.
• Demonstrate our customer service behaviours in daily tasks.
