Cambridge College is seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join its catering team in Cambridge. You will support the kitchen with preparation, cooking and presentation, working under experienced chefs in a busy, professional environment.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary between £28,000 and £31,000 per annum, a 40-hour week and every other weekend off, plus 26 days of annual leave and an enhanced pension.

Formación

• Some experience working in a professional kitchen.
• Genuine passion for cooking and developing culinary skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.

• Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.

Responsabilidades

• Assisting with the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes to a high standard.
• Supporting senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and service.
• Preparing fresh ingredients and maintaining an organised, efficient workstation.
• Ensuring excellent standards of food hygiene, health and safety at all times.
• Following recipes, portion control and food presentation guidelines.
• Assisting with stock rotation, deliveries and minimising food waste.
• Working collaboratively with the wider catering team to deliver an excellent dining experience.
