Job summary

Cubitt House Pub is seeking a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will work with fresh, seasonal British ingredients, supporting senior chefs and delivering dishes to Cubitt House standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef in a quality kitchen.
• Solid understanding of classic techniques and seasonal cooking.
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Genuine passion for food, craft, and hospitality.
• Full eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Run your section with confidence, consistency, and pride.
• Prepare and present dishes to Cubitt House standards.
• Support senior chefs with daily prep, service, and kitchen organisation.
• Work with fresh, seasonal, sustainable British ingredients.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and organisation.
• Contribute to menu development and kitchen creativity.
