Job summary

Upham Inns in the UK is recruiting a Commis Chef for our collection of pubs across Southern England. You will assist in food preparation, prep ingredients, and help maintain kitchen standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers up to £12.21 per hour plus a share of Tronc (potentially up to £5,000 per year), flexible shifts, meals discounts for you and guests, and a clear development pathway to Head Chef as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of all sections, able to follow supervision and deliver quality work.
• Understand health and safety and basic food hygiene practices.
• Good oral communication and team player qualities.
• Right to work in the UK, able to work unsupervised when required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the food preparation process.
• Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes.
• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish.
• Assisting other Chefs and with deliveries/restocking.
• Stock rotation, cleaning stations and maintaining kitchen standards.
• Comply with food safety, fire and health & safety laws.

Commi chef Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of all sections

Commi Chef Responsibilities:
