Job Description

RIO Recruitment is looking for a Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at an established hotel operation near St Neots.

This is a great opportunity for a chef at the early stage of their career to develop their skills in a busy, supportive kitchen, offering straight shifts, a 40-hour working week and a good work-life balance.

Working as part of an established kitchen brigade and reporting to the Head Chef, you'll be involved in preparing and delivering a modern, street-food inspired menu while maintaining high standards throughout service.

Requirements

You'll work 5 days per week , with a mixture of shifts depending on the needs of the business. Typical shifts can range from 6am-3pm through to later shifts covering lunch and evening service until approximately 10pm .

There is no regular overtime requirement, and the role offers straight shifts rather than split shifts.

You'll support the senior chefs with food preparation, cooking and presentation, ensuring dishes are prepared to a high standard. You'll also help maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen while developing your skills and experience.

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Commis Chef with a keen interest in developing their culinary skills within a professional kitchen.

Previous experience working in a professional kitchen would be beneficial, although candidates who are keen to learn and progress their careers will also be considered.

The ideal candidate will have good organisational skills, a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to maintain high standards during busy service.
