The Hare & Hounds in Newbury is seeking a Commis Chef to join a busy, high‑quality kitchen. You’ll work with fresh, seasonal ingredients to support the brigade and help deliver modern British, brasserie‑style dishes.

No experience required — we’ll teach you everything you need. Enjoy meals on shift, staff discounts, and a friendly, supportive team in a charming 17th‑century coaching inn.

• Assist with food prep – vegetables, garnishes, sauces, starters and more.
• Support senior chefs during service to ensure dishes leave the pass correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organised workstation following hygiene procedures.
• Help with stock management – rotate produce, label and store ingredients.
• Learn new skills daily – techniques from butchery to cooking.
• Uphold high culinary standards: consistency, quality, and pride.
