Job summary

Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow is seeking a passionate Commis Chef to support busy kitchen operations at our Glasgow property. You will help prepare dishes, maintain high standards, and learn under our culinary team.

You’ll embrace our guest care culture, work collaboratively with colleagues, and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities that advance your hospitality career.

Responsibilities

• Offer exceptional guest care at all times.
• Assist in preparing food items, ensuring dishes are prepared promptly and meet quality standards.
• Maintain good knowledge of the menu.
• Minimise food and energy wastage through proper control methods and switch off equipment when not in use.
• Keep kitchen equipment in good working order and report issues to the senior chef on duty.
• Ensure kitchen is set up prior to service and areas have required equipment.
• Utilise relevant systems to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Adhere to policies, Code of Conduct, health and safety regulations, hygiene, COSHH and HACCP.
