Job summary

The Ivy Collection in Cobham is seeking a Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen. You will work in a dedicated section and assist the prep team to meet daily par levels.

We value strong culinary skills and the ability to work under pressure, while upholding strict food safety standards and quality across dishes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
• Good culinary skills with a passion for cooking and learning.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes.
• Set up and stock their assigned section with necessary supplies and ingredients.
• Collaborate closely with prep chefs to monitor inventory and ensure correct daily par levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, adhering to food safety.
• Follow instructions from the Senior Management to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Job Description:

The Commis Chef will be work on a specific section, working closely with our dedicated prep team to ensure that daily par levels are met.

Working in a large team requires you to work well under pressure and be able to easily take direction from senior staff.
