Job summary

The Bath Priory, part of Andrew Brownsword Hotels, in Bath, is seeking a Commis Chef to join a passionate kitchen team. You will work with fresh ingredients, help with prep and dish assembly, and contribute to delivering high standards for our guests.

You’ll be supported in development, with fair rotas and opportunities to learn, while enjoying staff perks including service charge distribution, staff discounts across the Brownsword hotels, and free meals on duty.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar kitchen environment.
• Ability to prep fresh food and assist chefs.
• Interest in learning and developing in hospitality.

Job description

Location: The Bath Priory (part of the Brownsword family of hotels) has a great location in Bath, just a short walk from the city centre, with a bus stop right outside. The hotel is stunning, a Georgian house with 33 bedrooms built in honey- coloured Bath stone and is surrounded by four acres of multi- award-winning gardens. We are proud to have won awards at 5-star level for over ten years and we are seeking sparkling new personalities to join our family.

SERVICE CHARGE-We pay our team service charge each month! This service charge all goes into one pot, and 100% of that service charge is then shared amongst all the team at the hotel-every penny received is paid out to the team.

Service charge can be in the region of £160 a month (close to £2000 per year) over and above base pay, for a full time employee.

As a Commis Chef, you will be working as part of a passionate team of chefs. You will play a crucial part the preparation of food that goes into the delicious dishes, created by our chefs for our guests to enjoy.

This role would suit someone who has worked in a similar environment previously.
