Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on a major clean water pipeline project in Romsey, Southampton. The role focuses on NEC Option C contract administration, cost forecasting, and commercial reporting to support delivery milestones.

You will manage target costs, compensation events, and change control processes while coordinating with project teams, supply chains and stakeholders to mitigate risks and maximise value.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commercial Manager in water, utilities, civil engineering or major infrastructure.
• Strong quantity surveying and commercial management expertise.
• Comprehensive knowledge of NEC contracts, especially NEC Option C.
• Experience managing target cost contracts, cost-value reconciliations and forecasting.
• Understanding of compensation events, change control and commercial risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
• Water/utility/pipeline project experience is highly advantageous.

• Experience managing target cost contracts, cost-value reconciliations and project forecasting
• Understanding of compensation events, change control and commercial risk management
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
• Water, utilities or pipeline project experience would be highly advantageous
