Job summary

You will collaborate with technicians, suppliers and customers from initial inspection through completion, ensuring labour, parts and services are priced correctly while keeping projects profitable.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating vehicle repairs, accident damage or refurbishment work.
• Experience with HGVs, commercial or refuse vehicles.
• Able to assess vehicle damage and determine the work required.
• Understand labour times, parts, materials and repair costs.
• Strong commercial awareness for profitable estimates.
• Organised and able to manage several estimates simultaneously.
• Excellent communication with customers, suppliers and workshop teams.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting vehicles to assess overall condition and determine work scope.
• Identify mechanical, bodywork and refurbishment requirements.
• Produce accurate, competitive estimates and quotations for customers.
• Calculate labour hours, parts, materials and subcontractor costs.
• Liaise with technicians, suppliers and management to confirm required work.
• Obtain and compare prices from parts suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare clear, professional estimates for customers and internal teams.
• Update estimates if additional work is identified during repairs.
• Ensure estimates remain commercially viable without compromising workmanship.
• Maintain records of quotations and project costs.
• Communicate repairs, costs and timescales to customers.
• Work with workshop and management to progress each project.
