Job summary

365 Recruit is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our regional commercial team for refurbishment, retrofit and construction projects. The role involves reviewing tender documentation, preparing cost estimates and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, construction drawing interpretation ability, and proficiency in Excel and estimating software. A Full UK driving licence is required, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
• Experience pricing refurbishment, retrofit or social housing projects.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience using estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, specifications and drawings.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissions.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Carry out take-offs and quantity measurements.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
• Liaise with the commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings where required.
• Maintain estimating databases and cost information.
• Ensure submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Support handovers to the delivery team following successful contract awards.
