Overview

Commercial Trading Underwriter – Glasgow (Hybrid). To £50,000 base plus bonus and brilliant benefits. This leading composite insurer is growing their Trading Hub in Glasgow with opportunities in both new business and renewal work.

In the past 12 months, six experienced underwriters have joined this team, reflecting solid financial results, a forward-thinking succession plan, and a supportive culture that sets people up for success.

The Role at a Glance:

As a Commercial Trading Underwriter, you’ll:

Underwrite profitable mid-market commercial business across the Scottish broker market, working with both national and regional brokerages.
Handle a mix of core P&C lines (Property & Casualty) in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Build and manage strong relationships with key broker contacts to deliver exceptional service.
Operate under an underwriting license tailored to your current experience, with opportunities to grow and expand your expertise.
Be part of a team that values collaboration and strategic thinking, ensuring longterm success for both clients and brokers.
