Job summary

Cala Homes is seeking a commercially focused Surveying Manager to lead surveying on designated developments in the region with full cost and financial accountability. You will own cost estimates, budgets, forecasts and payments while monitoring profitability across the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Sales, Land, Construction and Technical teams to deliver timely cost reporting and financial insights, supporting effective decision-making in a busy housebuilding environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a housebuilding environment with strong commercial reporting.
• Ability to produce accurate reports and forecasts.
• Understanding of Building Regulations and internal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate cost estimates, budgets, forecasts and cost control measures
• Monitor site performance against approved budgets, forecasts and financial targets
• Prepare regular cost reports and financial updates to deadlines
• Take full commercial ownership of assigned developments, including valuations and payments
• Support the Commercial team with financial reporting and profitability analysis
• Liaise with Sales, Land, Construction, Technical teams and external consultants
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and provide clear advice to the project team
• Ensure compliance with current standards, Building Regulations and internal procedures
• Contribute to accurate reporting and presentations for senior management
