Job Description:

Our client is seeking an In-house Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer to join their respected legal team. This role involves drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts and agreements, as well as advising the business on a broad range of legal matters.

The client is based in Berkshire but offers hybrid working arrangements. Initially, the successful candidate will spend 1-3 months in Berkshire (costs covered by the company), after which they will work on a hybrid basis from the Southampton office.

The primary focus will be managing the day-to-day legal issues faced by the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial contracts law.

Responsibilities include:

• Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts and agreements
• Providing legal advice on other business matters
• Communicating legal issues effectively to stakeholders in a business-friendly manner
• Managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations

Requirements:

• UK qualified solicitor with 2-4 years PQE
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• In-house experience is desirable but not essential; private practice lawyers with strong commercial skills are also considered
