Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Commercial Skills Leader - Orthopaedics for a Hybrid role in Leeds, UK. This position leads the design and execution of sales skills enablement across EMEA, building capability to drive customer-centric selling and strong forecast accuracy.

You will oversee onboarding, coaching, and curriculum delivery, collaborating with Sales Leadership, Marketing and HR to close capability gaps and improve pipeline health while ensuring compliant selling practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare sales and marketing roles including Sales, Sales Training, Professional Education, Brand Marketing, or Sales Management.
• Strong Orthopaedics knowledge or experience required.
• 3 years of experience leading teams.
• Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior corporate leadership.
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into effective educational solutions.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design and execution of commercial sales skills enablement across EMEA, managing the commercial skills team.
• Builds capability to support the sales team’s skills development in customer-centric selling, qualification, value messaging, negotiation, account planning, and commercial excellence.
• Establishes scalable onboarding and continuous learning pathways, enabling coaching and Challenger sales adoption to improve pipeline health, conversion, and forecast accuracy.
• Governs a commercial sales skills strategy aligned to priorities, customer segments, and go-to-market motions.
• Designs and deploys sales skills curriculum covering discovery, qualification, value selling, objections, negotiation, and storytelling using blended delivery modes.
• Partners with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and HR to diagnose capability gaps and align enablement calendars.
• Drives adoption of CRM discipline, pipeline reviews, and forecast cadence with coaching guides and playbooks.
• Develops KPIs to measure program effectiveness and drives continuous improvement based on data.
