ITS Construction Professionals South in Woking is seeking a Scaffold Estimator to price scaffolding packages for residential and commercial projects, producing detailed costings from drawings and tender documents. You will collaborate with contracts managers, surveyors and suppliers to ensure competitive, viable estimates.

You’ll manage multiple tenders, review designs for commercial impact and maintain accurate estimating records, with a focus on improving process accuracy and winning bids.

Qualifications

• Experience as Scaffold Estimator in scaffolding or construction subcontractor.
• Understanding of scaffolding systems, access requirements and site environments.
• Experience pricing packages for residential, commercial or large-scale schemes.
• Ability to interpret drawings, elevations and tender documents.
• Experience preparing detailed take-offs and cost estimates.
• Commercial awareness of labour, materials and equipment costs.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and risk awareness.
• Confident in communicating with clients, contractors and suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders to deadlines.
• Proactive ownership of estimating responsibilities.
• Good IT skills, including Excel and estimating software.

Responsabilités

• Review tender enquiries, drawings, specs and project documentation.
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for scaffolding packages.
• Assess scaffold requirements, access, elevations and constraints.
• Produce detailed take-offs, measurements and quantities.
• Calculate labour, materials, equipment, transport and installation costs.
• Obtain and review supplier quotations and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify commercial risks, exclusions and opportunities.
• Prepare tender submissions, cost breakdowns and information.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors, developers and internal teams.
• Work with Contracts Managers and site teams to ensure realistic estimates.
• Review scaffold designs and proposed methods for commercial impact.
• Support tender reviews, negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Manage multiple tender enquiries and deadlines.
• Maintain estimating records and monitor cost changes.
• Support commercial handover to delivery teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and accuracy.
