Job summary

Streamline Search Ltd. is seeking an experienced Scaffolding Estimator to own quotations for a varied portfolio of projects across London, with regular site visits and a focus on commercial accuracy.

You will visit sites to measure scaffolding needs, interpret drawings, calculate costs (materials, labour, transport), and prepare detailed, competitive quotations. Strong communication will be needed to liaise with clients and subcontractors, with meticulous record-keeping and teamwork across

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' estimator experience in scaffolding.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specs.
• Experience pricing commercial scaffolding projects and preparing quotations.
• Strong attention to detail and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Scaffolding Estimator

Salary: Up to £75,000 (DOE)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00am - 5:00pm

Our client is an established, independent provider of scaffolding and associated trade services, operating across London. They deliver a wide range of services, including contract scaffolding, emergency response and dangerous structures, fabrication works, transport and logistics, and specialist scaffolding projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Scaffolding Estimator to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong scaffolding background to take ownership of project quotations, assess technical requirements and prepare accurate, commercially competitive estimates across a varied portfolio of projects.

Position Overview

• Visit project sites to assess scaffolding requirements, take measurements and identify access requirements, site restrictions and any technical challenges.
• Interpret project specifications and technical drawings to establish project requirements and prepare accurate estimates.
• Calculate project costs, including scaffolding materials, labour, transport, equipment and additional associated expenses.
• Prepare detailed and commercially competitive quotations and proposals for clients.
• Liaise with clients to discuss project requirements, respond to queries, clarify estimates and negotiate terms where required.
• Maintain accurate records of project details, estimates, quotations and communications with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Work closely with internal teams to support project planning, budget management and effective cost control.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, material costs and market trends to support accurate estimating and commercial decision-making.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working as an Estimator within the scaffolding industry.
• Strong understanding of scaffolding operations, materials, labour requirements and associated project costs.
• Experience pricing commercial scaffolding projects and preparing detailed estimates and client quotations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
• Good working knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and commercially competitive estimates.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of an established team.
