Commercial Sales Executive

Are you a confident communicator, comfortable using your sales experience to attract new business?


The Role:

Celebrating our 150th birthday this year, Bagnalls is the leading painting and decorating contractor in the UK.


Salary:

We offer a competitive basic salary of £25,553 plus achievable uncapped commissions.


Hours:

39 hours per week.


Location:

This role is based at our North Contracting branch in Cleckheaton. We offer free onsite parking, excellent motorway links, and a free in-house gym.


Responsibilities:
  • Identify new target customers through research, including social media.
  • Build relationships with new and previous customers to secure repeat business.
  • Understand our customers' needs to effectively highlight Bagnalls' offerings.
  • Complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs).
  • Manage the customer database.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential Criteria:
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Previous sales experience (telephone/B2B preferred).
  • Confidence in building relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Excellent, friendly telephone manner.
  • Good written English skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn in-house database systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn all aspects of the business.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience within the construction industry.
