Job summary

Wr Hvac is seeking a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer based in Kendal, covering Yorkshire. The role offers a £42,500 base salary with on‑call allowances and overtime, plus a clear progression path and ongoing training.

You will service, repair and maintain commercial refrigeration systems in food service, hospitality and retail sectors, and participate in an on‑call rota as part of a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in commercial refrigeration service, ideally 10+ years.
• Experience with restaurants, hospitality and food retail refrigeration.
• Strong refrigeration and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Valid F-Gas Certification and driving licence required.

£45,000 Basic Package + Overtime - £65,000 OTE

An established national refrigeration contractor specialising in commercial refrigeration systems for the food service , hospitality and retail sectors is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to cover Yorkshire. The business supports major national customers through long-term service and maintenance contracts and is expanding its engineering team following continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration and electrical faults
• Attend reactive breakdowns and planned maintenance visits
• Work on chilled and frozen refrigeration equipment
• Complete service reports and maintain high customer service standards
• Participate in an on‑call rota

Package:

• £42,500 basic salary
• £2,500 on‑call allowance
• Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x
• 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday
