Job description

OUR CLIENT is an international family-office that owns large commercial assets in major cities. Due to further expansion in the UK, they are looking for a proactive Commercial Real Estate Asset Manager to take full ownership of asset and property management, working closely with tenants, vendors, and the accounting team to ensure smooth operations and maximize asset value.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES for the Commercial Real Estate Asset Manager include:

1. Lease and Tenant Management - Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, break clauses, and expiries. Drafting and amending leases. Ensuring vacant properties are let, and instructing and managing agents as needed.
2. Service Charges and Financial Oversight - Supporting accounting with service charge reconciliations, redevelopment budgeting, and cost management. Working with vendors to control expenses.
3. Capital Expenditure and Redevelopment - Managing refurbishments and redevelopment projects, coordinating with vendors and contractors. Assessing redevelopment feasibility, advising on costs and planning.
4. Investment and Financial Analysis - Conducting financial modelling and due diligence on acquisitions. Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning for existing assets.
5. ESG and Compliance - Ensuring compliance with legislation and ESG requirements. Overseeing energy efficiency and sustainability measures where applicable.

PERSON AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS for the Commercial Real Estate Asset Manager include:

1. Qualified Surveyor (MRICS) with at least 8 years of commercial property/asset management experience.
2. Highly detail-oriented.
3. Deep knowledge of property operations, leasing, and financial oversight.
4. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of asset and property management, working closely with tenants, vendors, and the accounting team to ensure smooth operations and maximize asset value.
