Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. in Portsmouth is seeking a Commercial Property Surveyor on the client-side to oversee day-to-day management of a £1bn property portfolio across commercial, retail, industrial and leisure assets.

The role includes lettings, renewals, rent reviews, lease negotiations, and supporting acquisitions and disposals while mentoring junior surveyors. Flexible working is available alongside a 37-hour week and 26 days of holiday.

Qualifications

• MRICS chartered surveyor or working towards MRICS status.
• Experience managing a commercial property portfolio, client-side or consultancy.
• Knowledge of landlord and tenant matters and related lease work.
• Experience in acquisitions and disposals of property assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day property management of the portfolio including lettings, renewals and rent reviews.
• Advise on acquisitions, disposals and lease restructures.
• Draft, negotiate and agree lease and licence agreements.
• Assist with valuations of different property types.
• Mentor and support graduate and trainee surveyors.

Excellent opportunity for a Commercial Property Surveyor to join the property and investment team assisting with the management of a multi-million pound property portfolio. They have a diverse portfolio including commercial, retail, industrial and leisure assets totalling £1bn in value.

Role & Responsibilities of Commercial Property Surveyor:

• Day-to-day property management of the portfolio - new lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews and various landlord and tenant work
• Managing and advising on acquisitions, disposals and lease restructures
• Instigating, negotiating, and agreeing a wide range of lease and licence agreements
• Assisting with valuations of all types of property
• Mentoring and support to graduate and trainee surveyor

Skills & Experience:

• MRICS
• Experience managing commercial portfolio - either client side or consultancy
• Knowledge and experience of Landlord and Tenant work
• Acquisitions and disposals experience

Salary & Benefits:

• 37 hours per week with option of flexible working
