Job summary

Beach Baker is partnering with a leading commercial property consultancy to recruit a Surveyor or Senior Surveyor on a 12-month fixed-term contract in London. You will manage a varied portfolio of commercial assets, oversee service charge budgets, statutory compliance, and day-to-day property operations, while delivering excellent service to clients and occupiers.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of a commercial property portfolio.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, occupiers and stakeholders.
• Managing service charge budgets, expenditure and reporting.
• Overseeing statutory compliance and health & safety requirements.
• Coordinating planned maintenance programmes and building works.
• Reviewing leases and landlord/tenant matters.
• Authorising supplier payments and client funding requests.

Beach Baker is delighted to be partnering with a leading commercial property consultancy to recruit a Surveyor or a Senior Surveyor on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial property management professional to join a highly regarded team and take responsibility for a varied portfolio of commercial assets. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to clients and occupiers while overseeing compliance, service charge management and day-to-day property operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of a commercial property portfolio.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, occupiers and key stakeholders.
• Managing service charge budgets, expenditure and reporting.
• Overseeing statutory compliance and health & safety requirements across the portfolio.
• Coordinating planned maintenance programmes, contractors and building works.
• Reviewing leases and dealing with landlord and tenant matters, including alterations and licences.
• Authorising supplier payments and managing client funding requests.
• Supporting property acquisitions and due diligence exercises.
• Driving occupier engagement and customer experience initiatives.
• Managing and supporting junior team members where required.

About You

• Experience within commercial property management.
• Strong understanding of landlord and tenant matters.
• Experience managing service charge budgets and multi-let commercial assets.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance and property operations.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• MRICS desirable but not essential.
