Job summary

CJCH Solicitors in Cardiff seeks a Commercial Property Solicitor with 3-5 years PQE to join our growing Welsh team. You will handle a varied caseload and develop client relationships while working with experienced department members.

You will gain exposure to acquisitions, leases, landlord and tenant matters, development, investment, finance and title work, while contributing to the department’s growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified in England and Wales with 3-5 years PQE in commercial property.
• Experience handling a broad range of commercial property transactions.

As the department continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious Commercial Property Solicitor with 3-5 years PQE (candidates with more than 5 years PQE will also be considered and are encouraged to apply) to join the team and play an important role in its continued development.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who has gained a solid grounding in commercial property and is looking to take the next step in their career within a growing team.

You will work on a varied caseload of commercial property matters and will have the opportunity to develop your own client relationships while working alongside experienced members of the department.

The role will involve working on:

• Acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold commercial property.
• Commercial leases, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases and associated documents.
• Landlord and tenant matters, including renewals, assignments, underlettings, licences and variations.
• Property development and investment transactions.
• Property finance and security work.
• Overages, easements, covenants and other title matters.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop their own client relationships and play an active role in the growth of the Commercial Property department.

About You

We are looking for a solicitor who:

• Is qualified in England and Wales with 3-5 years PQE (candidates with more than 5 years PQE will also be considered and are encouraged to apply) in commercial property.
• Has experience dealing with a broad range of commercial property transactions.
• Has a good understanding of commercial leases and freehold transactions.
