Job summary

GCB Agency Recruitment is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Manager to take ownership of an established division in Leeds. You will manage the day-to-day operation of a growing commercial portfolio, build landlord and tenant relationships and drive profitability.

The role offers a clear path to lead a larger team, with long-term progression and a bonus/OTE structure. A strong knowledge of commercial legislation and driving licence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' commercial property experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial legislation and compliance.
• Experience managing landlord and tenant relationships.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

Experienced in commercial property management and looking for an opportunity to take ownership of an established and growing commercial division?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious commercial property professional to take responsibility for an established commercial division within a successful and growing property business.

With an existing small but growing commercial department, this is a hands‑on role initially, with a significant long‑term opportunity for the right person to build and lead a much larger commercial property division.

You will have three clear objectives:

• Manage the existing portfolio to an excellent standard
• Review the department and drive it towards sustainable profitability
• Actively grow the portfolio by winning new landlords and commercial management instructions

The Role

As a Commercial Property Manager, you will:

• Take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of the existing commercial portfolio
• Manage landlord and tenant relationships
• Oversee maintenance, repairs and contractor management
• Conduct property inspections
• Manage compliance and relevant commercial property legislation
• Deal with lease‑related and ongoing tenancy matters
• Resolve day‑to‑day property and management issues
• Ensure landlords receive a proactive and professional service
• Review how the commercial department currently operates
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase income and reduce inefficiencies
• Work towards ensuring the division is profitable
• Actively win new clients, landlords and commercial management instructions
• Work alongside colleagues involved in marketing, lettings and new business
• Identify opportunities to grow and develop the commercial department

Commercial Property Manager requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' commercial property experience
• Very strong commercial property management knowledge
• Very strong understanding of commercial legislation and compliance
• Experience managing landlord and tenant relationships
• Willingness to learn and understand every part of the Commercial department
• Commercially minded approach with an understanding of profitability
• Confidence and drive to generate new business
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
