• NQ PQE Solicitor with experience in property litigation and commercial disputes.
• Experience advising landlords on possession, disrepair, tenancy disputes, and service charges.
• Knowledge of alternative funding methods (CFAs, DBAs).

Job Title: Commercial & Property Litigation Solicitor NQ

Location: East London (Hybrid working available)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join a well-established and forward-thinking Dispute Resolution team, handling a broad range of property and commercial litigation matters. This is a growth role due to increased client demand.

You will manage a varied caseload acting for private individuals and SMEs across a spectrum of disputes, including landlord and tenant issues, service charge disputes, breach of covenant matters, and contractual/commercial claims. There is scope to get involved in high-quality work and contribute to business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of commercial and property litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Advise on a wide range of disputes including landlord/tenant, service charges, leasehold issues, and contractual disputes.
• Work with private and SME clients on privately funded matters.
• Represent clients in negotiations and, where appropriate, in County Court and tribunal proceedings.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to offer a joined-up service.
• Record time promptly and manage billing efficiently.
• Stay updated on legal developments and attend internal training sessions.
• Supervise junior staff or seek appropriate supervision when needed.

About You

• NQ PQE Solicitor with experience in property litigation and commercial disputes.
• Confident handling privately paying client work.
• Experience advising landlords on possession, disrepair, tenancy disputes, and service charges.
• Strong understanding of leasehold disputes and contractual litigation.
• Excellent client care, written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised, with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
• Proactive in business development and networking.
• Strong IT skills and commercial awareness.
• Knowledge of alternative funding methods (CFAs, DBAs).
• Prior experience in marketing or networking.
• Ability to carry out own advocacy is a plus.
