JMC Legal Recruitment Limited in London seeks a Commercial Property Solicitor to take on greater responsibility and build direct client relationships with experienced Partners. The role covers landlord/tenant, investment and corporate occupier work for a broad client base.
The firm emphasizes long-term development, a supportive culture, and opportunities to advance within a specialist property practice, with flexible hybrid working and a discretionary annual bonus.
If you're a Commercial Property Solicitor looking for greater responsibility, direct client exposure and genuine opportunities for career development, this is a chance to join a highly regarded London property boutique with an impressive client base and a supportive approach to developing its lawyers.
You'll work alongside experienced Partners on a broad range of commercial property matters, advising everyone from property investors and developers to established corporate occupiers, including household names such as Sony and Octopus Energy.
Importantly, this is a firm where junior lawyers are given the opportunity to develop their careers beyond simply handling work passed down from senior colleagues, with the support and encouragement to build client relationships as their experience grows.
The Firm
This is an established specialist Commercial Property law firm in central London, recognised by The Legal 500 and known for providing high-quality, commercially focused advice.
Founded over 20 years ago by experienced City lawyers, the practice has grown into a successful boutique with an established client base spanning corporate occupiers, commercial landlords, property companies, investors, developers and high-net-worth individuals.
The firm has particular strength in corporate occupier work, advising businesses on their office, retail, industrial and leisure property requirements. Its clients include major national and international organisations, some of which instruct leading City firms for their wider corporate matters but choose this practice for their property work.
The team is highly experienced, with senior lawyers bringing decades of expertise across commercial property transactions, investment, development and landlord and tenant matters.
Despite the quality of its work, the firm maintains a friendly, approachable culture with a strong emphasis on work-life balance, direct client relationships and developing its lawyers over the long term.
The Role
You will join the Commercial Property team as a Solicitor, working closely with experienced Partners while taking responsibility for your own matters and developing relationships with clients.
The work is varied, covering both landlord and tenant matters, with opportunities to advise on transactions across a broad range of property types and sectors.
Your caseload will include:
You’ll gain exposure to the commercial considerations behind these transactions, working directly with clients and other professionals to help deliver practical solutions.
The firm also encourages lawyers who are interested in developing their own client relationships over time, providing opportunities to build connections through its existing network of clients, agents and professional contacts. This is an opportunity to build a client base over time and empower yourself.
The Candidate
What's On Offer
One of the firm's solicitors joined without an existing client base at 5 PQE and went on to develop a practice generating approximately £300,000 in annual fees within five years. This reflects the firm's approach to giving its lawyers the opportunity and support to develop commercially, rather than simply managing work passed down from senior colleagues.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Property Solicitor looking to develop their technical expertise, gain greater exposure to high-quality clients and build a long-term career within a firm that actively supports their professional and commercial development.
