Job summary

Siemens Energy Limited in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to join our Gas Services - Central team. You will support project delivery with Project managers in the UK and Ireland, ensuring financial performance and contract compliance.

You will co-lead projects, manage financials and risk, coordinate with offshore colleagues, and help drive revenue and profit forecasting. Travel across the UK & Ireland will be required; CPM/finance qualification preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance and commercial functions within complex business bids and projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
• CPM certification or a financial qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead projects with the PM to optimize financial results and manage risk exposure.
• Ensure commercial requirements are met and contractual rights are protected.
• Prepare commercial documentation for status meetings and ensure data accuracy.
• Align with Offshore colleagues as applicable.
• Participate in customer and supplier meetings including negotiations, claims and variations.
• Manage guarantees, bonds and other project securities.
• Own project controlling and revenue/profit forecasting throughout delivery.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland and adopt new digital/AI methods.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Project Manager to join our growing Gas Services - Central business based in Newcastle. In this role, you will report to the Finance & Commercial Manager - Projects and will support project and delivery together with Project managers in UK and Ireland.,

• Co-leading projects together with the PM in managing and optimizing targeted financial results, managing customer expectations, and evaluating the risk exposure in line with the contractual terms. Projects covered will include both Service and New Unit with contract values ranging from £200k up to £200m
• Ensuring Commercial requirements are met, and Siemens Energy's contractual rights and entitlements are protected while managing contracts and claims.
• Preparing commercial documentation for regular project status meetings and ensuring the accuracy of commercial/financial project data.
• Aligning with Offshore colleagues as applicable.
• Participating and contributing to customer and supplier meetings from contract negotiation, claims management, contract variations and contract formulation perspectives.
• Ensuring application and continuous management of financial Guarantees, Bonds and other project securities.
• Project Controlling throughout the delivery phase and ownership of Revenue and Profit forecast accuracy.
  CPM certification and / or Financial qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent University degree)
• Experience within a Finance and Commercial Function within a complex business managing external customer bids/projects
• Team player who can work successfully across multi-disciplinary teams
• Tenacity and perseverance to see topics through to completion
• Efficient communication skills and standing firm for the right things
• Ability to successfully forge sustainable relationships with relevant contacts within the customer and supplier organisations
• Demonstrate a 'safety first' approach and live the Zero Harm culture: thinking & working safely, in line with organisation & regulatory requirements
• Willing to travel: site visits required as and when necessary, around the United Kingdom and Ireland
• Willingness to develop and adopt new digital and AI driven methodologies.
