My client is an Essex-based Building Services Company with over 20 years of operation. They currently employ over 30 staff and have an annual turnover of £7 million. Due to a significant amount of work starting in the New Year, they are seeking a Commercial Pipefitter/Mechanical Fitter to join their team.

The Job - Commercial Pipefitter / Mechanical Fitter

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm, with a 30-minute paid lunch break. The position is site-based in Central London, working on a large-scale Commercial Office Refurbishment project.

Your Duties Will Include:

• AHU installation and repair of mechanical plant
• Piping work covering galvanized, iron, steel, copper, plastic, and composite systems, including mapress or similar systems
• Knowledge of pumps, pressure and expansion vessels, DMZ valves, and basic mechanical maintenance of plate exchangers, strainers, and side stream filtration systems
• Fault finding on building-related heating, hot and cold water distribution systems
• Emergency repairs, including breaking out of walls and floors to access piping
• Diagnosing system faults
• Commercial pipe fitting and installation
• Changing and servicing pumps, valves, etc.

Requirements

• CSCS Card
• NVQ or C&G in Plumbing (minimum qualification)
• Commercial Gas Qualifications (desirable)
• Experience in a similar role

Salary & Package

£35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience. Full travel coverage, paid after the first hour each way, 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, overtime paid at 1.5x, night work at an enhanced rate, phone, uniform, and PPE.
