About The Role

An opportunity to join the IT Services team, as a Commercial Officer working in the IT Professional Services team.

You will be part of a small team working closely together, and supporting the Senior Commercial Officer in the management and delivery of the commercial activities of the Council’s IT Service, including supply chain, procurement and commercial contract management

You will ensure that financial processes are completed accurately and within timescale and that budgets are monitored, maintained and reported on. All activities will be carried out in line with corporate objectives and values of the Council.

About You

Educated to A level standard, ideally with a qualification in finance, procurement and/or supply chain management or equivalent experience

You will have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of public sector procurement legislation.

You will have excellent communication and relationship building skills in order to successfully engage Council services, partners, new customers and suppliers.

You will also have a good understanding of the role IT plays in a large organisation.
