Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is sourcing a Commercial MET Technician for a busy bodyshop in Nottinghamshire. The role focuses on high‑quality repairs, safety compliance, and efficient workmanship for commercial vehicles.

The successful candidate will have proven MET technician experience, ATA/NVQ or equivalent, and strong knowledge of repair techniques for light and heavy vehicles. Overtime is available with enhanced rates, and a well‑equipped workshop supports ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial MET Technician.
• Relevant qualifications such as ATA, NVQ, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle repair techniques.
• Ability to manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out strip and refit work on light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), following accident damage procedures.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to a high standard.
• Conduct servicing and inspections as required.
• Record job times, materials used, and costs accurately.
• Ensure all work conforms to industry standards.
• Use the correct tools, parts, and materials for each job.
• Maintain safety and quality throughout all tasks.
