Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor in Nottinghamshire. The role focuses on taking ownership of the commercial management of projects from pre-construction to final account, with emphasis on CVRs, forecasting, cost control and liaison with clients and subcontractors.

• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Good understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
• Strong CVR, forecasting and cost-control experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors and change.
• Leadership experience or desire to step into a Commercial Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial performance of live projects.
• CVRs, forecasting, cost control and reporting.
• Managing variations, compensation events and change.
• Subcontract procurement and account management.
• Contractual and commercial correspondence.
• Cash flow and final accounts.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
• Supporting and developing junior members of the commercial team.
• Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance.
