Job summary

GW Power is recruiting a Commercial Manager to strengthen commercial performance across its growing portfolio of projects in Hull and Yorkshire. You will work with operational, finance, estimating and site teams to manage costs, contracts and risk, providing financial insight and guidance to keep projects on track.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll protect commercial performance across the business, guiding contract reviews, valuations and final accounts, while engaging with clients

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial management, quantity surveying or a similar role.
• Strong cost-control, cash-flow forecasting and project-profitability skills.
• Experience working with NEC, JCT or similar construction contracts.
• Experience within construction, M&E or renewable energy, gained with a principal contractor or subcontractor.
• A proactive, analytical and collaborative approach.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to influence stakeholders at every level.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial guidance across a varied portfolio of projects.
• Review and manage contract performance, cash flow, costs, profitability and commercial risks.
• Manage valuations, applications, variations and final accounts.
• Support subcontractor appointments, procurement and contract negotiations.
• Issue contractual notices and help resolve claims, delays and disputes.
