Job summary

TLP in Felixstowe seeks an experienced Container Commercial Manager for a customer-facing role, developing existing relationships and creating new commercial opportunities within the container transport market.

You will manage accounts, grow the sales pipeline, prepare quotations, and liaise with freight forwarders, shippers, and importers to deliver commercially viable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of container transport and the Felixstowe market.
• Existing industry relationships and contacts would be advantageous.
• Proven commercial, sales or account management experience.
• Confident developing new business as well as managing existing customers.
• Commercially aware with a good understanding of transport pricing and margins.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable generating your own opportunities.
• Able to build long-term customer relationships rather than simply chase short-term sales.

This is a customer-facing role for someone who understands the container transport market and can develop existing relationships while creating new commercial opportunities.
